This avocado dip is always a smash hit. It’s super easy to make and it’s so delicious that you won’t be able to stop eating it.

This recipe was inspired by the avo smash at Prado Cafe on Fraser Street. It’s an unassuming little side dish that you can order with toast and eggs and it’s SO good. There’s avocado in it, but it also contains peas, mint and lemon.

This recipe is my version of their side dish. I have made it a few times and everybody loves it.

We’ve had a similar dip at Postmark Brewing. Theirs is also delicious, but it’s more of a hummus. I like that one too. All of the food at Postmark is fantastic.

There’s something about avocado, peas, mint and citrus that really works.

Here’s my recipe:

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups blanched peas

1 avocado

The juice of  one lemon

8-10 mint leaves

1 small clove of garlic

1/4 cup grated Parmesan, or 1 tbsp pine nuts (optional)

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

pinch of pepper

Blitz it all up in the food processor.

Enjoy!
